It has long been a tradition and mission of Bethlehem Center to send children to the Christian summer camps Mount Shepherd and Camp Tekoa.

 We rely on both the in-kind donations of duffel bags and camp supplies, and the financial support to send these children.

 If you can support financially, cost of sending the children to camp ranges from $250-$400, and checks can be sent to Bethlehem Center 2705 Baltimore Avenue Charlotte, NC 28203 with a note indicating Campership 2010.  You may also utilize our partnership with Justgive.org to donate, and designate to Campership 2010.

A list of supplies needed for duffel bags is below:

Camper Prep for Camp:

• Duffel Bag (generic, no gender specific)
• Sleeping Bag-Plain, No cartoons
• Flashlight and batteries
• Bar soap                                                                                                         
• Shampoo
• Conditioner
• 2 hand towels
• 2 bath towels
• 2 face cloths
• Lotion
• Bug repellent
• Sun block
• Toothbrush
• Toothpaste
• Poncho or light rain coat
• Heavy duty comb or brush
• Deodorant
• Bible (optional, but please let us know if your bag does not have one)
• Anything additional is welcomed, but the above are essential

Please place all liquids in a large Ziploc bag for each child.  We are hoping to get “packets” of stuff together to make packing of the bags easier and more efficient.

Campers start registering in February, and we will start taking finished bags on March 1^st.  We would like to have all bags in by April 15^th.
