IMMEDIATE RELEASE Bethlehem Center celebrates the 2008 Bridge and Game Benefit! CHARLOTTE, N.C. (January 28, 2008) – Bethlehem Center of Charlotte is celebrating the 2008 Bridge and Game on Friday, March 7, 2008. This special event will be held and Providence United Methodist Church from 9 a.m. - 1p.m. and will benefit the Bethlehem Center of Charlottes Emergency Assistance Fund. These funds help those in need of housing, utilities and medication support. The bridge and game benefit brought out 300 participants in 2007 and we hope to increase that number this year. Not a bridge player? That’s o.k. bring a board game, UNO, Scrabble, Monopoly. Tickets are only $10.00 per player for the day. Bethlehem Center will also be holding a silent auction at the event. Founded by United Methodist Women in 1940, the Bethlehem Center of Charlotte is part of the National Mission Institutions related to the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church. Our mission is to renew hope, strengthen family life and promote self sufficiency. Each year, the organization provides four core services for the Charlotte community, including community outreach, school age development programs, early childhood development programs and social services to aid and protect vulnerable children and adults in ways that strengthen and preserve families. |
